Be Mischievous

Day 8 of the 30 Day Drawing Challenge has brought me to my most mischievous and naughty subject; my favourite animated character.

I would love to say that the Wicked Queen from Snow White is my favourite - those eyebrows, those cheekbones! - but as per usual my allegiance lies with something completely immature.
Stitch from the Disney film Lilo & Stitch is amazing. He's SO cute, so annoying, so naughty! He's like a really irritating child but without the bad looks.

Whilst trawling the internet for a decent picture of Stitch to use as a reference I came across pretty much the coolest fashion site ever. It's called 'Disney Bound' and basically creates outfits based on Disney characters or themes. The attention to detail is brilliant. Here's an example for Lilo -

The Royal Wedding = Cinderella...Kind Of.

Okay so, today I was glued to the television for literally twelve hours following every little piece of royal wedding coverage that I possibly could! I have come to the conclusion that it was, in fact, just a pantomime of Cinderella...pretty much. Are you ready?

Kate Middleton is a very lucky girl, she has basically just lived every little girls' dream. Now she just needs to get William to take her to Disneyland and seal the deal!

Pixar Just Gets Better

Disney Pixar have released video for young gay people showing that just because you are gay, it doesn't mean that you can't have a life. For many teens, coming out is the single hardest thing they will ever have to do. Facing discrimination from their friends, neighbours, teachers and parents is something that can happen daily to gay and lesbian teens.
I think that this is a moving and incredible video and I'm shocked to see something that's so contraversial make it out of a Disney company like this. It's amazing how honest and reassuring these people are and I applaude them for stepping up and creating this video.

I'm not gay myself, but I know people who have struggled through that initial 'coming out' phase and I can't imagine how something like this must lift the spirits of someone who is having a tough time.
I've always loved Pixar, and now I love them even more!
